Members of the Board and Staff of the St. Lucia Diabetes and Hypertension Association would like to thank Massy Stores St. Lucia Ltd. immensely for the donation of the Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00) which was greatly appreciated towards the various activities carried out during the month of awareness.
This contribution has assisted the association in bringing greater awareness to the education, management and control of diabetes in women as it relates to this year's theme: "Diabetes in Women".
SLDHA would also like to commend the Massy family for their efforts in raising Two Thousand Six Hundred Forty Four Dollars and Twelve Cents ($2,644.12) which was collected from the Denim Day and Blue Box donation activities.
The St. Lucia Diabetes & Hypertension Association (SLDHA) was conceptualized on August 9, 1983 and nationally launched in April, 1989. It was established to attend to the welfare of diabetic and hypertensive individuals in St. Lucia, as well as to provide service to the general public.
