To be the focal institution in St. Lucia contributing to the prevention, education and management of diabetes and hypertension.
To raise the awareness of the relationship between diabetes and hypertension and good health, in contributing to the prevention and management of these conditions in the fight against NCD’s.
The St. Lucia Diabetes & Hypertension Association (SLDHA) was conceptualized on August 9, 1983 and nationally launched in April, 1989. It was established to attend to the welfare of diabetic and hypertensive individuals in St. Lucia, as well as to provide service to the general public.
